A “fair licensing contract” transfers the rights related to the use and the distribution of satellite imagery and data to end users. Fair terms must be granted in order to prevent situations where consumer rights may feel threatened. Under an idealistic scenario, the parties to a contract would agree to all the terms, conditions and clauses that would enable the agreement to be enforced successfully.
