Towards a global private satellite data trade

Jordi Sandalinas claims to be the space law practitioner that suggested a “bottom-up” solution in the field of satellite data trade. Depending on the scope of the consent, some Organizations such as the WIPO distinguish between national, regional and international exhaustion of rights. A set of  “New Satellite, Individual Trade-Related Rules” could constitute a solid paradigm to prevent serious commercial issues and damages from happening, at least theoretically. These New Trade-Related Rules could embrace the existing new online agreements and some more envisioned by the author of the present blog. Moreover, image telemetry, databases and the right to re-sell or re-use high or low-resolution imagery, its distribution or dissemination could also find an answer if using a bottom-up approach.
